  1. My favorite date was our first one. It was a blind date. We agreed to meet under the ‘glass pyramids’ at the Peoria Civic Center to attend the Worlds Toughest Rodeo. He brought chocolates and a card and was such a sweet, gentleman! We talked through the entire show. The glass pyramids were removed a few years ago during remodeling, but we are still going strong!! We’ll celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary this year!

  2. One of my favorite dates is one where my husband worked it out with the babysitter to show up an hour before he was supposed to get home. She told me she was there to watch the kids while I showered and got ready for a date. She also mentioned that she was going to clean the house while we were gone too. The best part of the whole date was that he organized it and surprised me so I could just enjoy the evening.

  3. My favorite date with my husband of 20+ years was New Year’s day about 4or 5 years ago. It was very warm and we took the motorcycle into Washington DC to do a day at the WWII memorial and the other monuments nearby. We finished up with a walk along the river and a nice ride home before the chill set in.

  4. My favorite date was a few years ago when we lived in OK. My husband (then my boyfriend) surprised me one Saturday with a roadtrip down to a grocery store in Wichita Falls. It doesn’t sound like a great place to go for a date for most people, but one of my favorite pastimes is food-shopping (and cooking!) We wandered around the store for hours just chatting about anything and picking out food to try over the next couple weeks. It was incredibly memorable!

  5. My favorite date was St. Patrick’s Day 2012…we went to see “our” band, Fools for Rowan. It was the first band he ever introduced me to. Well, that night they had a drawing for prizes and as my number was called out, I made my way to the stage. When I turned around, there he was on one knee proposing. Best date ever!

  6. My favorite day was when my husband purposed. He surprised me with sky-diving (something we both always dreamed of doing). He and a friend went to the place the day before and spray painted “Will you marry me, Holly?” in huge letters in the grass. As I was coming down for landing I saw it and started screaming! It was sunset, I landed with music playing and him on one knee. Afterwards we had dinner and a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city when he kissed me for the first time.

  7. My favorite date with my husband was for my birthday last year. He took me shopping all.day.long! He works long hours and for him to take a day off was a huge treat and then to go shopping with him and he didn’t even complain. It was the best day ever!

  8. My favorite date was after our third child was born. The hospital arranges a meal for parents where you could choose steak, lobster, etc. and eat with candlelight in your room. It was awesome seeing my beautiful wife out of her bed and eating a special meal with her while the baby was sleeping nearby. It was a great time to just talk and relax.

  9. I think my favorite date night would have to be the first one we had after our twin daughters were born 2 1/2 years ago. It felt like the first time we had actually had a real conversation that lasted more than 15 minutes! From that day on, there was no doubt in my mind how important it would be to keep those “outings” as frequent as possible 🙂

  10. Our best date night… I would have to say, for me, it was when we were still in high school. I had just played in our schools homecoming football game and we won by a pretty large margin and my high school sweetie, now my wife, had watched the entire game. I was in cloud nine from the win and she was proud of her football star.

We went out after the game to a corn maze with my family and had a blast. It was freezing, which gave us some time to get “closer”, figuratively and literally. It was a great night if just spending time together laughing and having fun over hot chocolate and walking around in the dark for a few hours.

  11. My favorite date with my hubby of almost 7 years was one of our first – I got tickets to the MD vs NC ACC basketball game in College Park. Everything about the night was perfect. We were on our feet the whole time, the energy of the crowd was incredible, and the Terps won! After the game, we were stuck at the top of the parking garage for almost 2 hours (I didn’t get home till 2 AM), but neither of us cared. We just talked and shared and laughed and got to know each other, and I knew at the end of the night that this was THE guy I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. And he was hooked, too – because let’s face it, what guy WOULDN’T love a girl who could get tickets to one of the hottest ACC games of the year.

  12. Hubby and I make every Friday a date night and my favorite is when we just have dinner delivered and we eat while watching a romantic movie!

  13. My favorite date was one regular day when my husband took the day off work (unheard of for him) while our daughter was in school and had nothing planned but to spend the day with me doing whatever I wanted. We had lunch and went to all my favorite places including the library even though he hates to read. I was the center of his world the whole day and felt like a princess.

  14. My favorite date with my husband was surprising him for his 40th birthday. I surpised him with a quick weekend in New Orleans full of his favorite things. We will remeber this forever!

  15. Our favorite date was a picnic and day at the Little Rock Zoo after I picked my wife up from the airport. We were dating long distance at the time.

  16. Favorite date night with my husband was just recently when he built a fire, grilled some steaks and left the tv off. We spent the whole night talking and laughing.

  17. My wife is working toward her nursing degree. A couple of weekends ago she was studying for a big test and was pretty focused. To help make it easier, I planned a series of meals (mixed between me cooking and going out to try new restaurants).

The whole weekend was just a mix of spending time together (I joined her at the coffee shop and caught up on some reading), eating at home, and trying new restaurants. As a bonus, she aced her test!

  18. My favorite date with my sweetie is going out and doing something fun. One thing we love to do is go to the natural hot springs. It’s so nice to spend time together out in nature. We love it. 🙂

  19. This is hard! I think my favorite date was when my boyfriend proposed. We walked downtown Annapolis md and it was so pretty outside. The plan to go to a restaurant changed into eating sushi by the water. I was stuffing my face when he got down on one knee. It was funny, romantic, cute, just perfect. It was if the world was standing still and only the two of us existed.

  20. My favorite was an overnight getaway for our most recent anniversary, our 11th. It was a long overdue night away from the kids and we had a great time!

  21. My favorite date with my husband was our third one. I was living with my Grandmother at the time and she was going out for the night. He came over to watch movies. We spent most of the time talking, paying no attention to the T.V. It was the first time I really opened up to him and I was terrified. I had done some things in the past while going though depression that I wasn’t proud of and felt that he should know. He seemed to be such a good and proper person I thought for sure that telling him would scare him off. I can remember trembling like mad when I told him. Afterwards he just held me and told me it was okay, and that he knew I was a good person and said he was amazed by what I had overcome. I knew then he was the one for me. I had found someone who could accept all my flaws as a part of who I am, without judgement. It was also the first time I was able to let go of that past and be proud of how far I had come. My husband made me see what was good about me.

  22. The best date we ever had was over the holidays last year, when we were in San Diego, CA to visit my family. We walked down to Anthony’s and got a bread bowl full of clam chowder to share. Then we walked along the path, found a nice bench and spent the rest of the evening talking, laughing at each other, and people/boat-watching. It was just so nice to slow down and still be able to connect on that level.

  23. A favorite date night which was a surprise – I came home from work and he had the table set in the formal dining room and he made a delicious gourmet meal, but the best part was we just sat there in our pj’s and got to enjoy each other. A perfect night.

  24. All throughout the August vacation i voiced how much i wanted to go to the beach but unfortunately neither my husband nor i had the time to go. Then as usual one night he came and picked me up late after a long hard day of work and school and unexpectedly took me to the beach and we danced on the beach under the stars to no music at 10 in the night. To me it was very romantic because we held each other like there wasn’t a tomorrow and also because it was cold..lol To me it was one of our most memorable dates ever.

  25. My favorite date was years ago when we first started dating. We went to an amusement park, and spent the day running around like kids from roller coaster to roller coaster, laughing and having a great time.

  26. One of my favorite dates with my hubby was us going to a Rams game for the first time. We had nose bleed seats, and it was my first NFL game. Even though I really had no idea what was going on, he was excited and kept helping me understand the rules of what was happening. He was shouting at the players when they scored a touchdown and jumping up and down, and I got wrapped up in that excitement too. It was a really fun experience! We were just dating and I could just tell he was going to be a lot of fun to hang out with. We went out to eat afterwards and talked about what was the best part about the game for us. It was fun!

  27. My favorite was back when we were dating & my husband had just come back from AT. We went to my husbands favorite restaurant, saw a movie(still one of our favorites) and the next day we went to carrowinds & then a daytrip to the beach.

  28. Hard to chose! Three specific ones come to mind, and each of them I just realized, he planned instead of me. 🙂 I think my favorite at the moment would have been this last January. My husband planned for us to spend the day locally – eating at a diner we’d never been to, visiting a local bookstore we’d never been to, shopping around the local gun shop and then visiting the ice cream place for dessert. It was wonderful, unhurried, and wonderful time for adult conversation that can sometimes be rare with a 3 yr old at home. 🙂 I loved it!

  29. Best date with spouse was a “date” at the gold’s gym near our house, we worked out in our separate ways, but he would wink at me whenever our eyes met and slap my booty whenever he walked by! We ended the date in the hot tub and it was the most relaxing, romantice evening we have had together in a long time!

  30. My favorite date with my husband was our first date. We have been friends since 7th grade but hasn’t seen each other in a few years and remet at an event. We had started talking and he asked if he could take me to dinner to catch up. We went to a local restaurant a few days later and spent 4 hours just talking and laughing. It was that night that I knew this was something special. A year later we got married! And have been for almost 2 years. I can truly say I married my best friend!

  31. My favorite date with my husband was our second date. We went to a putt putt golf course. It was in the high 90s so we were almost melting because it was so hot! Afterwards we were going to go to Applebees to eat but we got lost and ended up going to IHOP. After we ate we went to a small bar near where we live to have some drinks. That’s where we had our first kiss. It was definitely a great night!!

  32. Best date with my fiance was a random spontaneous evening. We went to lunch, it had been raining and we noticed the stream/river nearby had gotten high so we decided to go tubing, but all we had was a blow up mattress so we used that. We floated down the river on the mattress and chatted, it was great.

  33. My favorite was when he was popping the big question. Almost 11 yrs ago he haf already asked my dad and he took me out like always. I had no clue he played a beautiful song while we were at the park. He showed me the ring and was like will u marry me? I made him wait a few minites bedore I jumped in his arms an said yes. 🙂

  34. One of my favorite dates with my husband actually occured yesterday. He drove me three hours from our home so that I could meet four of my favorite authors. He didn’t care everything about seeing the presentation, but he took me so I wouldn’t have to go by myself. We went to a huge mall and just walked around, holding hands and talking. We went to a dinner theatre for lunch and watched a sweet romantic movie together while we ate. Then we went to the book signing ad he found a quiet corner to read in while I met the four authors. He was so considerate to do this for me. I love him so much and I praise God for blessing me with the perfect husband.

  35. My favorite date was going to to Lion Country. We rode a camel and got to feed a giraffe. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am grateful to have spent with my husband. We make the best memories when we are together.

  36. My favorite date with my husband was our engagement night. We had planned to go hunting (yes this is a date for us 🙂 ). So we went hunting, I killed two does, and when we were heading out of the woods he said let’s go ahead and take our camo off and put it in the truck then we can go back and get the deer. We were walking back up to the truck and it was about a mile walk. I kept asking him what was wrong, why he wasn’t talking to me, and when we were just about to the truck I asked, “Why are you so out of breath?!” He said, “Oh, from walking.” (I’m thinking, uh..I’m way out of shape, I’m not out of breath, and you walk this same way ALL THE TIME.) Although I knew he shouldn’t have been out of breath, I let it go and continued walking to the truck. We took our camo clothes off. He told me to put all of them in the truck (which he would have normally done himself). So I did, I turned to put all of the clothes in the truck, threw them in, and turned around to him on his knee. With a ring. Saying will you marry me. I FLIPPED out, didn’t answer him for what seemed like 5 days. Finally answered him and said Yes! Best. Date. Ever! 🙂

  37. This is hard I think my favorite date night was the first time we went up to my family’s cottage in Western Michigan. He planned the entire thing we went to a great lake side restaurant we talked for the entire dinner then he took me for a walk on the beach to look at the stars and we walked the boardwalk down to the the light house and we took a late night swim and just played together he kept me there untill the sun came up and we slept on the beach the whole day…it was and still is one of the best dates we have ever been on. We have been together now for 7 years and he did this the first summer. It was everything I could of ever wanted. He trys to re-create this date for me every year on the same weekend and it gets better and better every time.

  38. My favorite date was when my husband(then boyfriend) was in Lawton, Oklahoma, doing his advanced individual training(AIT) for the Army. I still lived in California and we hadn’t seen each other in five months. After flying to Dallas and waiting three hours for my next connecting flight to Lawton, my now husband, texted me and told me that he wouldn’t be able to be there when my plane landed because some of the guys he worked with had gotten in trouble but he would pick me up in an hour or so after. I was frustrated and up set but I said ok, the most important part was see him even if I had to wait a while. When I finally arrived in Lawton, I looked out into the crowd just hoping he had been able to make it, and there he was, grinning his head off. I started crying and ran to him. It was so perfect. Then we went out to dinner and ended up eating nothing we ordered because we were both so excited to see each other. This day was so perfect for the both of us, and lifted our spirits. We both knew then that we wanted to spend our lives together.

  39. My favorite date was going parasailing and being adventures on a midnight cruise boat. It was a great getaway. We also visited the zoo.

  40. We love going to concerts. It reminds us of when we first met/got married. But my fave was going to a comedy club. Laughter makes everything better. 🙂

  41. My fav date with my husband of almost 10 years was a lunch date in New Orleans. We went to Jimmy Buffett’s restaurant, Margaritaville to have a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” It was amazing, something I had always wanted to do 🙂

  42. My favorite date night was while on vacation in the Virgin Islands. After taking the ferry over to St. John we went to dinner at a restaurant overlooking the water. We watched the sun set over one of the most expensive yachts in the world, along with other amazing boats, and devoured lobsters — and my husband was nice enough to let me splurge on the 4lbs lobster while he dug into his 2lbs lobter. It was our last night on the islands, so we spent hours at dinner soaking it all in.

  43. This will sound cheesy, but my favorite date night had to be the first date my wife and I went on. We went to a spot that I had found a geocache and knew had a terrific sunset. We watched the sun set and then headed to the movies (Kill Bill 1, if you were wondering) and enjoyed the wonderful night.

  44. My favorite recent date was simply spending time on the phone together discussing our days. We are currently several states apart.

  45. My favorite date with my sweetie was a camping down at sixes river. We both didnt get see or talk to eachother much because of his summer job, but when he got a couple of days off we went fishing, hiking and camping together and had a blast!

  46. My favorite date with my Husband was the date full of plans HE had made, including taking me back to MIDDLE SCHOOL where we first met! The date day included church, lunch outside by a secluded fountain in a garden, him taking me to the middle school where we first met and we walked through the whole campus reminiscing on our past there, dinner, then he took me to a park for a night-picnic with wine where he proposed! Very, very blessed.

  47. My favorite date was my first date with my husband. We went and took FREE Salsa dancing lessons with a few friends from work. I thought he was so sexy and I started falling deeper in love with him that night.

  48. My favorite date night was the day when he proposed me. We had diner at romantic restaurant, he gave me a romantic letter, and proposed me to live with him for the rest of my life.

  49. My favorite date was our 1st. We went to an amusement park then to a movie together. And from there our friendship grew into love

  50. About three years ago, I dropped my husband off at the airport (he had work in San Fran) and I was so sad because it was our anniversary weekend. I was teary eyed and kinda mopey! When I got home, he had left a plane ticket for me to fly out and stay with him overnight. He even arranged for his mom to come over and stay with the kids! It was a quick 24 hour trip but it was unexpected and showed me that he truly honored our anniversary and what it represents.

  51. my favorite date night was one of our first. we met up across the globe in india, and one of our first nights there he took me to the roof of the house we were staying at in hyderabad and we sat there and talked about our plans for the future and there it was… he (finally!) made it official and asked me to be his girlfriend. then we shared our first kiss together… looking out at the sunset on a roof top (don’t forget overlooking the busy indian traffic!) then we went to a nice dinner with his family and local friends. it was definitely a night to remember! now we are planning our wedding for this july, and moving to india next year to work with women and children that have been trafficked in the sex industry. god is good and we are so blessed:)

  52. My favorite date with my husband was an improptu one. We were vacationing in New Hampshire with a large group of friends when we decided to sneak away for a few hours. We went to a beautiful chateau and just sat by the grand fireplace ordering fancy drinks and chatting.

  53. My favorite date was a trip to the Mississippi River in the fall. We crossed into WI and bought apples & cheeses & chocolate, took a blanket down by the river, sat under the BEAUTIFUL fall colored maple trees and watched the watercraft float by. Very relaxing and romantic.

  54. Since when did all of your posts become advertisements. It’s been awhile now since you’ve actually posted regularly to the blog that I used to praise to everyone. Now, it seems you are more focused on recommending other books, etc. without much content. Is there a reason for this?

    1. Hi Shawn,

Is this really your best date night? 🙂

In all seriousness, I’m not sure what advertisements you’re speaking of – this giveaway was sponsored by Fandango, which is a nice perk of having a large community here at EM. I don’t gain anything personally from the giveaway, and so far over 70 folks have appreciated it enough to enter.

This blog has certainly matured over the 3 1/2 years since I started it. I originally wrote three posts every week that were mostly personal thoughts. However, we now take a more holistic approach to helping busy couples enjoy a married life they love. That includes content from others and sharing other top resources alongside my personal contributions.

Look for more original content (to add to the 300+ posts already available) throughout 2013…I hope you enjoy it. If not, I appreciate the time you’ve spent here.

      Best,

      Dustin

  55. One of my favorite dates with my husband was walking down a popular street in our city, finding a good place for dinner, and just talking… holding hands, sharing quality time together.

  56. For me it’s really anytime we get to dress up and go a nice restaurant and really talk. Most days are busy, but our date nights are our time to focus on the two of us and our future together.

  57. Oooo Favorite date!
I think it would be the night we went to a Steak house in our area, Bern’s, and spent a slow food movement time eating and chatting.

  58. Favorite date: taking a sushi making class together, and getting to eat the results! It was fun, different, and an unexpected surprise date!

I can’t find the like button. How do I enter?

    1. Hi Charles,

If you’re using a web browser, the share buttons are just left of the post. However, I understand that they may not appear on your iPhone or iPad – in which case, don’t worry about it since I know you made the effort. 🙂

      Best,

      Dustin

  59. Favorite date night with my spouse….when he surprised me taking me to a gorgeous restaurant on the pier in the Dominican Republic when we used to live there.

  60. It’s so hard to name my favorite date!! One that easily comes to mind is our first date. We went tubing and he held my hand and we started to really like each other 🙂

  61. My favorite date with my husband was when he took me on a hike at a local forest preserve & then brought me to an overlook, took his phone out (which started playing the newest Michael Buble song that I loved) and asked me to dance 🙂

  62. Out best date nights happen when we’re vacationing in the spa town of Calistoga, CA – hot mineral water soaks, a walk down the street for a drink and dinner and then time to enjoy each other’s company.

  63. My most memorable and favorite date would be our first date. We went the night after we met. I was surprised he called the next day. We have been together over 10 years. The Bad Paisley song “Then” is an absolute copy of our life together so far…. One kid and another on the way! We could use this gift towards a baby moon before our second one gets here!

  64. Our best date night was when we got a hotel for the night, grandparents kept the kids. Once getting a room, we got ready and went out to eat, came back to the hotel bar, had a drink together, and went upstairs for much needed alone time. When we got up, we ordered room service breakfast with the works, and just were able to be a couple and enjoy each other without all the chaos of the house.

  65. Favorite date night – one year when we had essentially no money (both daughters and hubby all in college!) – we did a stay-cation – and went on a series of dates together, all within 60 miles of home. The BEST was to the WaterWall in Houston. It was a hot summer day and we just walked the green, talked and enjoyed the coolness of the WaterWall (both in temperature and visually!!!). As we were leaving, we passed a parking lot where the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile was parked… and my husband, in a somewhat rare act for him, spontaneously did a Uie there in Houston’s Galleria area (not exactly the norm for him, lol) and pulled into the lot so we could get some pictures with it for me to scrapbook. I am chuckling about it as I write. It may sound silly, and it WAS, but it was cool, silly, cheap fun!

  66. My favorite date really wasn’t a date, it was the first time I met my husband. I drove my new college roommate to hang out with a guy she barely met (safer in pairs, right?) that lived 2 hours away in an AirForce dorm. We didn’t know he had a friend staying with him that was only in town for business until the next day. Since we were all super young and poor we decided I would cook dinner on a camp stove in the dorm room. It was nothing impressive, haha. I thought this friend was cute, so I flirted (took his baseball cap and wore it kind of stuff). It took a lot of effort to get him to open up (as I found out later, he is super shy), but we finally started to click. The next morning he had to head back to our town. He said he had a great time getting to know me and wanted to know me better… asking for my phone number, but we were standing in the hall of the dorm and he had nothing to write with. When he said he would remember it, didn’t need to write it down – I figured that was had no intention of calling. I gave it to him anyways. To my surprise, I had a message from him waiting for me when we arrived back home 2 days later. He had in fact remembered it the entire 2 drive home and it was just the first sign he’d give me of how much he valued our relationship.

  67. My favorite date was going to see the Yankees play the Orioles at Camden Yards, with no kids to pester us for snacks. The Yankees won so that was a nice bonus.

  68. My favorite date was the night we got engaged! We went to a restaurant that we’d waited months for a reservation, and then we walked around the campus where we met.

  69. I love late-night dates. Sometimes my sister keeps watch over the kids after they are in bed. Hubby and I split a burger or have pie at a local 24 hour restaurant and just talk. It’s nothing fancy, but it is my favorite!

  70. Our favorite date night was when we got all dressed up to go somewhere fancy and ended up just going to In n Out! We thoroughly enjoyed everyone’s stares!!!

  71. My favorite date with my husband was getting a pizza for ten bucks and sitting on the river front while eating the pizza with drinks from Sonic. Mmmmm……good times!

  72. Honestly, I’m blanking now–I claim sleep-deprivation because of our adorable newborn Matthew! I can remember last night though! Wouldn’t call it a typical date, but it’s the most special family time we’ve had in awhile. Just hanging out, the four of us at home late after we got home from work and faith formation. Adria told Adam about what she learned at FF, and that was followed by lots of tickles and cuddling–and Adam talking about how much she’s grown and how special she is. Then, he held Matthew–Adam couldn’t quit talking about Matthew’s “pinky fling” boxing style!! I guess you had to be there, and there’s lots more, but it sure hit number 10 for this mom! Nothing makes me love Adam more than when he’s loving our children!

  73. Having six children just about every date night is exceptional, since they are few and far between. Our favorite thing to do is go to dinner and talk- quietly, just the two of us. It gives us time to catch up on us without interruption. These nights usually end with us sitting in the car (outside of the house) and talking for about an hour before we decide we are ready to be home.

  74. My most memorable date that my husband and I had was when we were dating just before he proposed. It was around the fourth of July, and my small town was having fireworks that evening. Adam set up a wonderful evening. While I was taking my grandmother to go and get her medicine, Adam packed a picnic basket with some of our favorite foods. He went to the park just outside of town with a hill. He set up an area on a blanket, with pillows, candles, a bottle of sparkling grape juice, plates and a flower. We had a wonderful dinner. Before the fireworks began He set up the blankets and pillows and sprayed the area with bug spray. Then we laid down under the stars and watched the fireworks. It was the most romantic and sweet date night I have ever been on. He really treated me and made me feel like the most special person in the world to him.

  75. We first started hanging out while we were volunteering at a Young Life camp, we made peanut butter jelly sandwiches and went to play ping pong and chat!

  76. My favorite date was when I returned from field operations while stationed at 29 Palms and my wife sent the kids away to some friends for the night and set up an intimate picnic in our spare bedroom. I like outside picnics, but the inside ones can be just as romantic, definitely much more memorable…

  77. I guess I could say my favorite date is when we get one. I love my husband dearly, But romance is not his strong suit. And with 4 girls it makes “alone” time tough. Any time we just get to talk is my favorite….

  78. Favorite date with my husband was when we went to dinner & a movies then sat under the stars together wrapped in a cozy blanket talking all night losing track of time.

  79. Now that we have children, my favorite date night with my husband is going to a quiet dinner with great uninterrupted conversation.

  80. After we had been dating for about two weeks, my (now) hubs went with me and a couple of my friends to a Rascal Flatts concert for my birthday. During a slow song, he leaned over to me and said, “I’m gonna marry you.” 🙂

  81. So hard to pick out which date is a favorite because I love them all! I think I will have to say it’s when he proposed. We went up to our favorite spot for hiking and while we were enjoying the view of the overlook he proposed. He forgot everything he wanted to say and he was so nervous, which made me love him even more! Four months later we got married at the same overlook… =)

My favorite date would have to be our 1st date! It was November 10, 1995. I knew from the moment I saw him (it was a blind date) that he was the one.

My favorite date with my husband was dinner at the Palm Restaurant in Las Vegas a few years ago

  84. My favorite date was our first, a semi-formal in college. We each went on our own but sat next to each other and spent the whole night dancing and talking. My future wife had taken the only empty table in the place to maximize our chances of sitting together. Now, we sit together every day!

  85. My favorite date with my husband was our 10th anniversary dinner in Dublin, Ireland. My dream trip with my dream guy! Thanks for the giveaway.

  86. My favorite date was when my husband took me out to see a movie on my birthday and we were the only ones in the theater! He joked that he planned it as a private screening. Ha ha! It may not have been intentional, but it was sweet and a lot of fun.

  87. My favorite date would be our first anniversary 🙂 Dinner, movie, and just spending time together reminiscing about our first year of marriage!!

  88. Usually we have date night on Wednesday nights when the kids are with their grandparents. One night when we were watching our budget, we decided to stay in. My husband surprised me buy buying everything for a pasta dish he “invented” and a bottle of wine. We both dressed up as if we were still going out for the evening, and I sat on the counter drinking wine while watching him cook. It was the BEST date we ever had in our 16 years we had been together.

  89. My favorite date was when my husband and I walked around downtown Charleston after a fabulous meal. We treated ourselves to a nice night as both of us had been really stressed out lately and hadnt gotten much time together. We were walking along the waterfront and there was awesome fireworks – it was the perfect way to relax and enjoy each others company!

  90. My husband and I try to have at least one or two date nights a month. Sometimes we don’t have anything particular planned and we will end up at our favorite home improvement store…we will end up buying something for the house which turns into a project we usually do together at home. It usually ends up that those are the “dates” we enjoy the most!

  91. When my husband and I were dating, he invited me over to his place and we carved a pumpkin and had hot chocolate. The reason why this is one of my favorite dates is because it was the first time I realized that he really liked me. It still gives me butterflies to think of it.

  92. WOW! Over 100 fantastic and heart-warming date ideas – thank you so much to everyone for sharing. I think these deserve to be sorted and shared in a couple of posts.

I’m thinking one on hot date night ideas and another on sweet proposals since so many were shared.

I used random.org to select our lucky winner – congratulations to Holly Kunkel!!!

  93. There are many great dates in my short 11 years of marriage but one that sticks ou tot me now is the day we planned on doing something outside but were rained out. Instead we spent the time playing cards and talking at our church building. Then he looked at me with a mischievous glint, and randomly said, “The floor is made out of lava, and you have to get to the kitchen and back without touching the ground.” =D It was awesome!

  94. My favorite date with my special someone would have to be when we went to one of those Escape room games. It was so much fun trying to crack the codes together and you learn a lot about someone when they’re under some stress. 😉

  95. My favorite date was last summer. We spent a day on the river having a float trip. As the parents of 3 little ones taking a full day away to picnic, swim, laugh and enjoy each other was heavenly. Married 10 and together for 17 it is amazing how we can continue to grow closer and closer.
