I can personally attest to the effectiveness of non-hormonal methods of family planning. My husband and I have been using FAM since our son was born over 2 years ago and we love it! As for the CFPN, it’s such a blessing!! I love the community it provides with women (and men too!) from so many different backgrounds and denominations. It’s the first place I turn when I have FAM/fertility related questions.

  2. Thank you, Dustin, for allowing me to share the CFPN with your readers! I truly hope it will be a helpful resource for many of them!

If anyone has any questions about the Christian Family Planning Network, or is having trouble figuring out our somewhat confusing registration/member group process, you can shoot me an e-mail at stephanie@christianfamilyplanning.net.

Stephanie, you know it’s truly my pleasure! Whenever I find a resource that helps married couples in a challenging area, I love to share it with our community. :)

Hello Stephanie and Dustin. This is an incredibly valuable site I joined awhile back. Interest among Protestant Christians in natural methods is really increasing for practical reasons and religious, as major Protestant leaders are beginning to speak out about the harms of contraception (including hormonal). I keep a database of Protestant NFP Resources, which includes CFPN! Here are some others I would strongly suggest for your education/information:

A chemistry professor at Rice U. and Protestant gives this fascinating series of short online talks (free)called “Scriptural Sexual Ethics”. The last talk is on NFP. I’m trying to get him to NC for a large ecumenical event!!
    2. http://www.mypontification.com/2009/09/07/contraception-preamble/
This is a blog from a Protestant on the popular talk “Contraception, Why Not?” by Janet Smith, PhD. The talk is broken up into many segments with commentary–an incredible resource. This author says “I feel the “why” has value for Catholics AND non-Catholics.”
    3. http://www.albertmohler.com/2010/04/26/the-pill-turns-50-time-considers-the-contraceptive-revolution/
Reflections from Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, on the 50th anniversary of FDA approval of the pill

I have a few other resources, but these are the best…enjoy!!!
