ThirtysomethingFinance, thanks for your great comment! That's a great topic for an e-book and it's more along the lines of what I thought I'd be writing about on this blog when I created it about 3 months ago. My background is as a marriage preparation presenter, so I can definitely relate to the struggles of newlyweds and do have some "sage" advice to share in this area.

Congrats on your forthcoming engagement! And you have a great new site going there. I just left you a comment and "followed" you on Twitter. I'm on there as @EngagedMarriage if you want to keep in touch.

Thank you so much, Sarah! It's great to hear that there are readers out there who enjoy the book reviews and marriage prep advice. My wife and I got into this whole world through our involvement in the Pre-Cana marriage preparation program (as presenters), so I won't be ignoring those topics. And like you said, the same lessons needed to prepare for marriage are needed while you are married, and us "experienced" couples need to be sharing this stuff with the engaged guys and gals.

Frankly, these are two topics I haven't delved into very deeply. Maybe when I write about more marriage-centric books and some cooler marriage prep topics, everyone will demand more! :)

Thanks Samantha! I would love to attract some more male readers, but I just think most guys don't see "caring" about their marriage in an outward and proactive way as masculine. I obviously disagree and I'll do my best to try to get more guys reading this site. In the meantime, thank you ladies!

P.S. I emailed you about setting up a survey. And I dig your site as well...even if it is a "mommy" zone!

I'm 29 and in a serious relationship. Will likely get engaged next year and married either next year or the year after. I would love to see an E-book about the things you wish you'd known when you were in my shoes!

Okay, I have to say that I LOVE your book reviews! And also I think Marriage Prep is something that is HUGELY important. Us married folk need to be equipped and able to help guide those who are looking for a strong foundation for their marriage. It is not something that should be soley left to the clergy to do. As you stated community is important. Love your blog. Keep up the great work!
