What Are You Thankful For?
As I reflected a bit on my “I am Thankful for Sexuality” post and the great comments you have shared there, I couldn’t help but wonder what each of you is thankful for as we officially enter the holiday season.
So, take a moment to think about your life as it stands today. Think particularly about your relationships and all of the ways (good and bad) they have changed since last year at this time.

I am thankful for my husband, Keith. My mother passed away last week, and as always he has given me strength. He can’t take away my pain, but he has shown me over and over how God is always there and looking out for us. Keith made sure I saw our priest and talked with him. I am thankful Keith is such a good man.
I’m so thankful for my family. I am a first time mom to a 16 month old. I am thankful that she loves breastfeeding so much. It’s created a very special bond between the two of us.
My husband is such a hard worker–he’ll DO anything he can if he knows I would like for him to, like ordering a certain kind of nut tree that grows well in the mountains, picking up some milk on the way home from work, retrieving the dead mouse from the trap!
I am incredibly thankful for my job sharing the beautiful truths of the Church’s teaching on sexuality and empowering couples to live according to those teachings with the knowledge of Natural Family Planning. I just read this amazing article that gives me a new sense of purpose on Mary of Fatima’s connection with the Theology of the Body. My first day of work was on the feast of her first apparition, May 13th. There’s a new movie out on the apparitions, called “The 13th Day”. I always had a fascination for Fatima as a girl. I watched the movie over and over and read a book about it.

I’m thankful for the home we have, the people who love us and the fact that we always have what we need. Even though we don’t have a lot of money as a young married couple, we’re much better off than a lot of people in the world. And it’s good to be reminded of that.
