  1. Sounds like a great book- I’m always interested in learning about ways that I can make a living by doing what I truly want so I’ll have to check it out!

  2. Thanks, Tabitha! This is a great book to read with that goal in mind. For me, it was more of a “mind expander” than anything, but there are definitely good practical tips for transitioning your life toward doing work that you love.

  3. Great to hear about this book Dustin. I read ’48 Days to the Work You Love’ a couple years ago because Dan’s concepts sounded so awesome.

Yet, I left that book feeling a tad frustrated – while the content was good – to me, it seemed like a veiled sales attempt to get folks to head back to his website and services. (nothing wrong with that, it just hit me weird at the time!)

I have passed by ‘No More Mondays’ and scanned it a couple times – sounds like I need to go ahead and pick it up and give it a read!!

    Thnx for the review!

  4. Thanks, Stu! I am the opposite in that I’ve never read 48 Days to the Work You Love. I’m not actively looking for another “real job” so I didn’t think that would be a good fit. No More Mondays is focused much more on doing creative things to generate income in areas that you are passionate. I obviously got a lot out of it and hope you do as well!

Stu – If you feel stuck after having read 48 Days to the Work you Love check out Dan’s 48days.net site. This is a site where many of us are out there learning so that we can turn our passions into reality. I recently got on myself and it is a huge help. I would also recommend formalizing your idea and getting connected with a business coach. I’ve used a coach for my current business and one that my wife are working on right now.

From experience it is wonderful to be self-employed and have the flexibility in my schedule to do my work, but to also have the time to spend with my wife and family.

    Best to you.

  6. Thanks, Tony! I wholeheartedly agree with your suggestion. In fact, I am a member of 48Days.net as well (just look for “Dustin”). It is a free site with a lot of motivated and incredibly creative people. I highly recommend that anyone looking to get more out of their career or better scratch their entrepreneurial itch give it a look!

  7. GREAT review of a fabulous book! “No More Mondays” was a life-changer for my husband and I. Can’t wait to follow more of your posts.

    God bless!

    • Thanks, Carmen! No More Mondays is right up there on my list of books that have changed my life. I suspect (and hope) that it will end up at the top of the list, but the changes it inspired are still a work in progress.

Thanks for visiting and commenting! I trust that you’ll find a lot of good information here along with an awesome community of readers.
