The Greatest Joy
There are a few days that define a person’s life and establish their legacy and mark on the world. Thus far, I’ve been blessed to experience four such days.
When you experience something as life-altering as the welcoming of new life, it’s impossible to understand those that oppose life or commoditize it in terms of money, time or supposed independence.
When you witness the creation of something completely new and unique, it’s difficult to give credence to those that don’t believe in God or respect the power of Covenant Love.
When you see the superb power of true femininity in action, it’s awe-inspiring and quite humbling. We are all indebted to our mothers and their unique capacity for unconditional love.
Welcome to the family Avery Josephine Riechmann. You made me a better man today.

The smiles on your little ones are precious especially the one who looks like a “little Dustin.” Happiness and blessings to your wife as she enjoys every minute of the new life God has blessed her with because she really gets to experience it all (carrying that new life and continued nurturing). Dear Dustin… Congratulations! Such beautiful touching photos. Thanks so much for sharing them. They got me back in touch with the Joy that I experienced when I had my son. Nothing else quite like it. And as I can see from the photos you totally get it.
Congratulations Dustin! It’s been over 31 years, but I still remember the night my wife was in labor with our oldest son and 5 years later with our youngest son. Nothing in the world can replace the awestruck wonder I felt those on those two occasions watching two new lives begin. I can just imagine the pride and joy that must fill your heart and the gratefulness to God on the safe and happy arrival of your new baby girl. Blessings to you and mom!

Does having a daughter feel different?
This is actually our second daughter, Bucksome (one son and two daughters now). It’s totally different every time, though!
