Quick Poll: What Is Holding You Back?
I am happy about my marriage, and I really enjoy living life each day with my wife and kids. However, I sometimes feel like we could certainly be doing some things better. This is where we encounter the “constraints” that hold us back from getting all we’d like from our marriage and giving all we’d like to our spouse.
I would really appreciate it if you took a few seconds and answered the two questions below. I know how I would answer them, but I’m super interested to know about your needs and how we can work together to help you take your marriage to the next level (whatever that may mean in your life).

Time is holding me back my friend. My wife and I have a strong relationship but as you know it could always be better. We find that time messes up our plans to do this or that. we will have something planned out, get excited about it, only to realize there is no more time in the day once we take care of the kids and other responsibilities. I’m sure we’re not alone!

I can’t sell you time directly, J. But I am working on some things that will help you find a bit more of it and especially use it more effectively to get the most from your marriage and family life.
I would definitely say time as well. Even if you work a standard 40 hour work week, you are still spending the majority of your quality awake time away from your spouse. I could quit my job and spend all of my time with my wife, but then we would be in the poor house! Something has got to give…

, a spiritual life, community service and maybe a little bit of recreation, the struggle to find the time for having a great marriage really becomes a challenge.
Dustin regarding your “About” page, I’ll just say this: It’s Good!! I like it because it really helps explain why this blog is here and what you’re trying to do…and it does tell us a little about you. I will also say that it has inspired me to re-examine my own “About” page as I think it’s a little old and could use some sprucing up. So good job

I also enjoyed the updated “about” page. Didn’t realize until I read it there that we are both engineering types with a passion for great marriages. And here I thought I was one-of-a-kind in that regard!
